Inspired by the Devotion Webzine for BokuAka Day 2021, PROMISE is a free to view webzine featuring the romantic pairing Miya Osamu/Akaashi Keiji. This webzine is to celebrate OsaAka Day 11/05 2021! Just like Osamu's promise of a Tokyo branch, this webzine is all about promises big and small, the conscious decision to love (and to stay in love). The website will feature a variety of works such as illustration, comics, fan fiction, and digital merchandise.

Website viewing will run from November 05 to December 05 2021. Contributors shall have all the rights to their published work. Posting of their works on platforms outside of the website (AO3, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) will only be allowed two weeks after the site has closed. Contributors have the freedom to print, distribute, and/or sell their works after this project has concluded.

Unauthorized use, selling and/or distribution of exhibited works by a third part is prohibited, except with the express permission of the contributors themselves with regard to their particular work. This disclaimer applies to the period covering the project duration, and any time afterwards, as all works belong to the contributors.

What is a webzine?

A webzine is a compilation of written works or illustrations – in this case, fanmade – hosted on a website.

Do you plan on making a physical version of the zine?

The zine will remain completely digital and we will not be making a physical version.

How many contributors will this webzine have?

We are aiming for 24-26 artists and 14-17 writers for a maximum of no more than 45 contributors, including guests and mods. However, as of the moment, this number is subject to change based on the results of the Interest Check. The lineup will feature illustrators, comic artists, (digital) merch artists, and writers.

How long will the webzine be available to view?

It will be up for a month: from November 05 2021 (OsaAka Day) to December 05 2021 (Keiji's birthday)!

What kind of OsaAka content will be allowed/featured?

Works need not be canon-compliant. Any AU/setting is acceptable, as long as the central theme is Promise. We will not allow content that features gore, noncon/dubcon, underage relationships, or any other offensive conent.

Is NSFW content allowed?

We are open to having a separate NSFW portion, tentatively in the form of a downloadable, password protected PDF. These works will not be displayed on the main site. However, this is still dependent on the results of the Interest Check, and the discretion/availability of our contributors.

Can a zine piece feature other ships, or only OsaAka?

We ask that zine pieces do not depict any other romantic ships. This is for the enjoyment of all consumers. :)

How will contributors be compensated?

As this is a non-profit, not-for-sale project, we'd like to reiterate that there will be no monetary compensation involved. However, a PDF of all the compiled works will be sent to all contributors via email after the website closes. Digital merchandise will also be sent to the contributors.

What kinds of digital merch will be made for this project?

We're hoping to create Discord emotes, folder icons, phone/desktop backgrounds, and printable materials. This is subject to change based on the Interest Check.

Am I allowed to post, print, and/or sell my work once the project ends?

Contributors will have all the rights to their works and may do as they please with them once the project ends.

Mary is an OsaAka misser 24/7. When not working as a governance research analyst, she's daydreaming of OsaAka meet-cutes, or just straight up drawing them in compromising situations. She's participated in several fanevents like the KuroKen Exchange as an artist. She's also one of the co-mods of OsaAka x Taylor Swift Week and NSFW OsaAka Week.

Dein is a zine first-timer that has 8 years of experience in administrative work and data analysis under her belt in the real world. She loves OsaAka because they're the kind of love you look for in your 20s, after you've learned how to succeed and fail at love and relationships. a fresh start. A new page. The kind of comfort and warmth that you seek after a long day of chasing after your dreams

Ricci works for a public relations and events company, handling many clients and writing various articles on a daily basis and who is also a contributor for the OsaAka “11:05” Zine. On her free time, she’s either in Teyvat, dreaming of Albedo or thinking up multiple ideas on how to portray the love that OsaAka has but usually never sees the light of day.

Viv has worked as the graphics/layout head of several uni orgs, as well as their school publication and their yearbook. They have contributed to fanevents such as the Rice Quartet Week, and was a page artist for OsaAka and Hyouka Zines. Yvonne is a design student who is also an art mod to the AtsuHina “Take-Off” Travel webzine and has contributed as an artist to the OsaAka “11:05” Zine”. She likes to combat the stress from school and work by imagining what it would be like to be Akaashi and rest her head on Osamu’s chest instead.
